After 10 Years of significant experience it’s time
to look back- in & around and review the career journey. This review is not
about my experience or summery of my career journey. It is the learning I had throughout
past 10 years.
After schooling from more than 5 schools both government
and public till 10th standard in a big family, I started my career
journey with a vision of becoming financially independent as soon as possible. The
first money came to me as tuition fee. The tuition career started with my
initiative of expressing my thoughts to relevant direct and indirect
contacts. My open eye helped me to take
a call for next leap and continue my education from better available option. I
switched to BCA (IGNOU) from B.Sc. (Physics) Honors (LNMU) 2nd year.
This was the time when no one was aware about the computer at home; even I was
not aware about the career opportunity after completing the course, the reason
I switched from B.Sc. to BCA was system i.e. late session and no/ irregular
classes. With hard work and smart moves could complete the course along with
ADCA & MCA. Now that was the time- the tutor inside turned out and I
started teaching my batch mats in need moving one step ahead joined the study
centre as faculty and in a year of time - became the centre head. Again the
open eyes guided me for career shift and after analysis I found an option and
took move. The shift was not easy one and varied options and profile along with
the new selected career option took around seven years to get established
there. Was getting feeling for another shift and moved ahead in the direction
with whole heart, this is one side of the coin other side of the coin is there
with learning I had seen with career growth of friends and colleagues. The struggle
I had and the path they took to achieve the career goal makes the complete
coin. My straight thought and zigzag career path the traditional (conventional)
stable jobs has took me to a place while the planned and straight career path
of colleagues traveled through professional certifications and frequent job
changes took them to better place.
For a better career growth and
height in profession early identification of interest and planned move in
career makes it easy and smooth travel to professional height.
